Financial Goal

Goal Setting Time…

If you’ve been around here for very long you know how important I think it is to have a budget, set goals and to plan for the future.  As the old saying goes, “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”

Financial Goal

As I shared in a previous post, since we were ahead of schedule for paying off the house, Trent has agreed to let us use the money to make home improvements until our original goal date (next September!!!).  So, I’m saving and dreaming about what I want to do in the kitchen.

Can I just say that we are still placing 20% of our income into retirement but plan to put what was our house payment into it next September.  I didn’t want you to think that I’ve totally lost my mind.

Besides paying cash for upgrades on the house, we are also looking into replacing our home computer (in the next year) and paving the driveway (in the next five years).  We also put money into a car fund each month because we know that our cars won’t last forever.

I’d love to know what goals you have and what you’re pushing towards.
